Dr. DeStafeno received his Doctor of Medicine degree for Albany Medical College and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Long Island Jewish Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as chief resident during his senior year. Dr. DeStafeno was then awarded and completed the prestigious Duke University 2-year fellowship in corneal and anterior segment disease and surgery, focusing on all aspects of “no-blade” refractive surgery and the latest techniques in cataract surgery including the full spectrum of premium lens implant options. Philadelphia Magazine recently selected Dr. DeStafeno to their list of “Rising Stars – Our Best Physicians Under 40” for his work in bringing cutting-edge eye care to the Philadelphia area. Dr. DeStafeno was recognized as a leader in his field by his peers when he was named a 2009 "Top Doc" by Main Line Today magazine
