Dr. DeStafeno received his Doctor of Medicine degree for Albany Medical College and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Long Island Jewish Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as chief resident during his senior year. Dr. DeStafeno was then awarded and completed the prestigious Duke University 2-year fellowship in corneal and anterior segment disease and surgery, focusing on all aspects of “no-blade” refractive surgery and the latest techniques in cataract surgery including the full spectrum of premium lens implant options. Dr. DeStafeno has been recognized as a leader in his field by his peers when he was voted a "Top Doc" in both 2009, 2010 and 2011 by Main Line Today Magazine. Dr. DeStafeno was honored in 2009 by Philadelphia Magazine when he was named a "Top Physician" for his work in bringing cutting-edge eye care to the Philadelphia area.
